Easter Homily Series: The Fruits of the Holy Spirit

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Gal 5:22-23

During this Easter, we are invited to experience and express new life of Resurrection. We experience the resurrection of Jesus through reception of the sacraments, being part of a Christian community, reading scripture, seeing Jesus alive in the events of our lives, and many others ways!

But not only we need to let Jesus in, we need to let Jesus ‘out’. We need to express the resurrection in our lives. We need to sing, rejoice, be positive, etc. The main way of manifesting the resurrection is allowing the Risen Jesus to transform us more after himself. We need to allow the Holy Spirit to lead us to a more luminous existence.

For this reason, during Easter, we invite you to focus on the development of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in your life. Thus, the proposal is to become more resurrected and luminous persons through the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

This theme connects to the theme of Lent. We work on the freedom from the different chains that keep us enslaved. Now, we move onwards to freedom for love.
